Mini-Pupillage Scheme
Applicant Information

Who Can Apply?

The BDABar mini-pupillage scheme will be open to those:

  • Due to the sensitive nature of the work being heard, mini-pupils must be at least 18 years old;

  • wish to pursue a career at the Bar;

  • have completed or during the course of completing an undergraduate degree/ postgraduate degree / GDL / BPC or seeking pupillage;

  • identify as disabled under the Equality Act 2010.

    *Those that have secured an offer of pupillage are not eligible.

Application Process

Applications must be made using the BDABar’s application form.

Applications must be sent to mini-pupillage@bdabar.org by 30th November 2023.

  • Any changes to the deadline will be published on our website and our social media accounts. Please keep an eye out for any changes.

  • Candidates will be invited to inform BDABar of their preferred area of interest (for example, if they wish to see family cases or property cases), but it must be noted it will not always be possible to accommodate candidates’ first preferences. 

  • Applications will only be accepted if they are made using BDABar’s application form. BDABar will not accept applications via cover letter and CV.
